A New York City woman is shining a spotlight on the unwelcome interest girls and ladies deal with — and why "the way you get dressed" would not make a difference.

Nearly 6,000 humans have liked Christen Brandt's Facebook submit, and almost three,000 have shared the photo. In it, Brandt indicates the outfit she was sporting while catcalled recently.

Brandt said she became strolling through a crowded subway station when a stranger commented on her look:

A man passing by using me stated, "Damn, you have a few superb legs." When I neglected him and kept strolling, he grew to become around to comply with me, to get nearer, even as I become moving away. "Did you hear me, honey? I stated you've got excellent legs. Damn! Thank you."
